We stayed here for the first time the week of New Year's. We went during the festival of lights. Words can hardly express how much we loved this place. We had a great camping site. Staff so friendly. Campground and bath house so clean. Everything decorated and people friendly. Loved driving through the Christmas light displays. The train ride was fun too. (Just a little too fast to see everything). Fireworks were AMAZING! What a fun time. Would love to go again sometime.

Camped out under the Festival of Lights and had a great time! The park is super clean and well-maintained: checked it without a hitch, established camp, rode the trails in bicycles, then cooked and enjoyed dinner while the lights flickered on. Campers decorated their sites too - a display within the display - so after a quick dog walk to admire their hard work we walked to the lights. We had a blast walking around the festival, then riding the shuttle and listening to Holiday Music, and got a great night sleep before heading home.

We enjoyed our stay here, the campground itself has a good feel to it with lots of nice people, close to Charleston, the park itself was beautiful and we stayed during the Christmas light season and enjoyed that as well. Campstore was well stocked, and Full hookups was also a great plus. Cons are it's very muddy when it rains, some of the sites are very close together and not the easiest to back into, and because the lights were happening getting in and out after dark wasn't easy. Overall we very much enjoyed our stay here.

Wonderfully maintained and very pleasant campground. Sites are spacious and beautifully landscaped with trees and grass. Showers were clean and working. The location is spectacular with easy access to Charleston. I used the park shuttle to go into town which was cheap, pleasant and reliable. The park surrounding the campground is pleasant with miles of paved trails, a dog park and fishing area. The staff, even the shuttle drivers, we're courteous, professional and efficient. It was so wonderful, I stayed longer than planned.
