Campground Island

Campground Island is an oasis for a family and kid friendly retreat! We took 4 grandsons, ages 3-11, over a 4 day weekend. We stayed in the tent area with a pop up camper. They had a blast on the foam slip and slide! The playground had lots to do and plenty of new friends to be made. Everyone was so friendly! The water surrounding the island provided plenty of safe water fun for all ages! At night there were campfires in the community area with various activities. The indoor recreation area had things to do for all ages which is great for a rainy day. The boys can’t wait to come back!

Owners met us at the entrance, gave us a familiarization. They are in the process of rebuilding the property (that the previous owners neglected). The property is nice, the renovations are quality. We recommend a visit. Lots of wild birds and about 20 tame rabbits roam the area.

This was our favorite campground thus far - the kids loved it. The owners have spared no expenses in making it cozy, clean, and unique. It was the nicest rec room I've seen and what campground has a coffee shop and ice cream shop?! All of the staff was extremely friendly and helpful and readily available. We will definitely be back.

We loved our first stay at this quiet, friendly campground. Would love to come back in the summer for the kids to splash in the creek. The site was large and level, the kids loved the playground and games provided on the deck, and the bathrooms were impeccable! Plus, you get to watch bunnies hop around everywhere! The campground store is minimal, but they told us that on the site before we arrived so we were prepared with our supplies. We'll be back

Beautiful and quaint campground. We stayed in the tent area for a few days. The bunnies are so cute. The bathrooms are very clean and accommodating. The little touches mean lots. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. I know the campground is on the newer side, so I have a few notes on things that may need a little more attention: -the tent sites we had were very muddy - I know it rained the week prior to our stay, but some gravel/rocks would really help with the mess. -there's no running water to the tent sites. Washing dishes and our hands was a little inconvenient. --the wood that was available for purchase was wet. We had to buy wood from the local gas station. -the store had some really cute items, and we loved the access to the outside stand. Maybe some helpful camping items could be sold... like batteries. We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed our time.

What a beautiful campground!! Came in on a Friday & almost every site was filled but it felt very private (we were at site 27). We stayed til Tuesday & by then the place as empty. We had the same bunnies at our site the whole weekend. So cute!! The bathroom were nice although we didn't use them. They had it stocked with personal care items. Nice touch! The main room had games, books, pool table, video game. Was very cozy. We got ice cream (very good & reasonable price!) We would come back again!!

This is camping for the sake of camping. Two beautiful waterfalls on the property, great fishing, room to bring your kayak or canoe, a very welcoming activity center, ice cream and coffee, firewood, plenty of family friendly activities and a farm stand on site. This is such a relaxing place to reset and recharge. Did I mention the bunnies. Campground Island is known for their live in bunny colony. It’s the sweetest thing seeing them hop around to check on their visitors. I can’t recommend Campground Island enough if you’re looking for a quiet getaway.

This was our first visit and we will definitely be back! We love the small campground and the staff were so friendly and accommodating! The bunnies of course were a huge selling point for us. But the actual campground blew us away with how beautiful it was!

We had a wonderful weekend at Campground Island. We enjoyed fishing, hiking, the rec center and the playground. The craft area in the rec center was a fun surprise for the children! The rabbits were sweet, and our children were excited to feed the rabbits. The folks who reside their year round let us borrow their water hose as ours had a leak. We were grateful for their hospitality. We will be back again!

I absolutely love this place! Great, friendly staff. Well maintained grounds - surrounded by a creek, so it is a true island. Great play area for the kids and games for adults, too. Rec area, small shop with scoop icecream and clean bathrooms and single showers. Highly recommend this location!
