Very nice campground. Plenty of hiking trails along the river. Most campsites are fairly private. But choose site wisely. Not all sites will accommodate a large camper. Some are designed only for tents. There is a neat solar powered phone charging station.( See picture)

Very nice State Park in Minnesota. Lots of signs to guide you to your spot and dump station. Sites are a tossup between level and needing blocks to level your rv. Washrooms and showers are clean and you don’t feel grungy using them! Plenty of activities to do, hiking the trails, kayaking and they put on several events through the day.

Jay Cooke State Park is absolutely gorgeous. We camped here with a large group of extended family spread over 6 campsites. Every day we gathered at a campsite and all were quick walks. The cabins are very nice, and the bathrooms/shower house were also very nice. The bathrooms also get deep cleaned every day. The trails stretch far and wide and are perfect for a morning run, although some are less developed than others. The swinging bridge and the surrounding trails/rocks are perfect for a half day activity.

This park was wonderful. The staff was very helpful in both finding our camping spot and explaining all the ins and outs of the falls. We did the Carlton hike which took about 3.5 hours and 6 miles. The campsites themselves didn’t have water, but there is a fill station by the dump site. We stayed in the first loop, and they sites were slightly unlevel, but there was plenty of room and the trees offered a lot of privacy. The bathrooms were the best I have used at a campground, exceptionally clean and well cared for.

It was such a great experience camping here! First, the restrooms and showers are very nice and they have workers come out and do a deep clean everyday so they’re very clean. There’s also a dish washing station on the right side of the restroom facilities. They allow dogs and it’s a very dog friendly park, but make sure to always have your furry friend on a leash or tie out. The campground is right across the street from the visitor center and the swing bridge. They have potable water that is well labeled and very accessible across the campground. The park rangers were very friendly and even went around notifying everyone when a bad storm was coming in! Would absolutely come back to camp here again.
