One of the best California state campgrounds. It's busy and popular for a reason. I've camped on both sides and I'd say most of the sites are all great. I would avoid #67 and #68 if possible- the sites are on a hill. Easy access to the beach and a nice walk to Capitola.
A spacious campsite with the soothing sound of waves to send you off to sleep. It’s peaceful and calming—if the white noise doesn’t bother you at night. The restroom facilities are clean and functional, making for a comfortable stay.
Spent 4 days camping. While not quiet away in the outdoors, as there were so many nearby shopping, eateries, and entertainment. I found it a great place and did like that there were so many things to do with just a few miles. Weather was great, good area for short or long walks, beaches nearby, bathrooms and shower were good, cleaned daily while we were there. We would definitely come back here again.
A cozy campground right on the Pacific Ocean. Our last stop before our flight home. Last time to barbecue marshmallows and swim in the sea.
This isn't my favorite campgrounds. There are too many people too close together. Although the restrooms get cleaned in the am there is just too many people using them. There are showers which is nice with the beach. Bring quarters though. 50 cents buys you 2 minutes of water. I do like the easy beach access and the fact you can drive into Capitola and Santa Cruz easily. Location is great for that alone.
