Free to hike and $7 according to the sign for mountain biking and horse riding (honor system). Great pines and people were camping also.

No running water, no facilities, and lots of evidence that people have not been taking care of their "business". Lots of concrete pads, looks like an old industrial site. There was an old RV parked way in the back, and there was a steady stream of "visitors" all night long. A light colored sedan came back and forth no less than 5 times from around dark til after 5 am. It's a possibility if you need a last minute place near Dawsonville, but I won't plan to be here again anytime soon.

The camp ground seemed awesome when we first arrived. Quiet nice level ground with a clean porta- let. BUT!....at 9:30 pm...after all campers were quiet and sleeping, City law enforcement showed up, with K-9 and rousted everyone out of bed and threatened to sniff out any “ narcotics, marijuana, heroin” etc!!!! WTH?? My wife and I were sleeping...so were most all campers! What kind of park is this????? Someone should speak to city officials about their overly aggressive cops. Thumbs down!

Beautiful place. Quiet. Spacious. Very popular place. Lots of trash from parties. And lots of horse trailers in the daytime. But peaceful. Gorgeous trees and setting. I would not come again though because there’s no table or grill. Good connection for phone and google. But hard to find. Follow “campgrounds for Dawson Forest WMA” directions.

Camping is primitive. There was one porta potty but no other facilities that I saw. No staff on site. While we were there a giant tent with loud techno music was playing with people in pickachu outfits running around. Very wierd. The hiking and horse trails are excellent and the etowah river there nearby is gorgeous. Beautiful wilderness area.
