Customer Reviews
There are some nice shaded camping sites for tents. Good access to the ocean with beautiful views. Friendly owner and staff. Clean, well maintained. Showers are actually big enough for my 6'4 1/2" carcass. Striped Bass fishing right out front and nearby at Barachois. Beach for swimming. More than a kilometre of beach that can be easily hiked right from the camp ground. Excellent poutine, if I may say so myself.
I can’t say enough good things about this campground! The views are spectacular. Try and get a campsite right at the water and you’ll fall asleep and wake up every morning to the sound of the waves crashing against the shore. You can walk down to the water (5 min) where there’s a beautiful rocky beach with a rocky cliff you can walk along. The bathrooms and showers are very clean and well kept. Although the campground was fully booked, it didn’t seem that way. Everyone was very respectful and quiet. The service was phenomenal- Edmond was a gem! 10/10 recommend staying here for as many nights as you can.
It's two times that we went on a camping at Cap Rouge. They're very warm and accommodating, even when we did not book for reservation. They provided us a spot to stay for the night, and even allowed us to extend for another night. The place is clean and well maintained. If you dont have food, they have a canteen that serves sandwiches, chicken and many others. They also have a spot for fishing and canoeing/kayaking. Bathroom is located right behind the canteen with a shower that cost a $1 per 7mins.
Absolutely beautiful for tent camping. Spaces 69-72 are along a creek which softly babbles you to sleep. Space 69 has a gazebo frame that you can throw a tarp on in case there’s rain, and also has lots of space and privacy. The showers are free, if small and few in number. The gravel driveway to the creek side lots is hard to climb if you have a loaded car or are carrying a trailer. Great for a short or long stay. The seasonal campers seem to really have built a nice community in the RV area too.
Decent spot to camp, especially if you grab a spot beside the water (we had 78). Lots are very close to one-another and small. Not especially clean or modern, with no drinking water on site. Friendly staff. Your experience here will mostly depend on the other campers present at the time you visit (more so than other campgrounds).
