Nice place for family camping! Clean, big and calm environment. The place have a good amenities. Close to tiger giant. Beach is just a walk away. There is fishing spot also.
The only good thing about this place was the beach otherwise it is the most unorganized campground some sites no tables. Shared bathrooms men and woman. The staff were ok the OWNER with his Doberman dogs were rude and extremely ignorant to out of province campers sneaking around the campsites in the middle of the night wanting to call the police because it was a little after 11 fires had to be completely out and everyone had to be in bed. Went and got a big bucket of water and dumped it on the fire. Very sarcastic and ignorant if you tried to speak with him. NEVER GOING BACK!!!
Highly recommend, arrived by bike on the Le Petit Train du Nord bike trail and stayed 2 nights. Beautiful camp sites on the river and nice sandy beach. Staff were friendly, accommodating and helpful despite what others have written lately. Bathrooms are constantly being cleaned. Awesome place to stop when biking, the communal kitchen area is a great place to stay dry, cook, charge the phone and eat dinner when it's pouring rain all while hanging out with other cyclists doing the same.
My family went for the tube ride down the river. I'll start with the good: the tube ride itself was very relaxing and fun. the bad: The wait was extremely long. It was one hour just to pay, after which there was a second line which lasted another 2 hours. At no point during this process do they tell you how much of a wait to expect, so waiting in 40C heat only to find out there's a second line was unacceptable. This tube wasn't great for families. Weren't warned that our kids would have to carry heavy tubes for 200m at drop off, which was nearly impossible for my kids (8 and 10) to manage. The long wait wasn't appropriate for children either as it was mostly twenty-something partiers, drinking, doing drugs, and yelling. the ugly: In the time of covid, this place did almost nothing to ensure the safety of visitors. They claim that you have to wear a mask on the bus ride, but even that wasn't enforced and the driver didn't wear a mask. In the line, almost nobody wore a mask, and nobody respected physical distance.
Went for the river tubbing. Had a nice time with the family. Access to the beach all day. Sand dunes everywhere. Really nice. Bring your lunch.
