Beautiful spot! Nice to have water and electricity on site. The lake is stunning with amazing views of the hills and super clean/clear water for swimming and paddling! The biggest downfall is there is absolutely no cell service in the park, which made it a bit stressful to contact family back home. You need to drive out of the park or hope that the visitor centre’s wifi is working (it wasn’t when we were there). Sites are definitely close together but it looks like many trees/bushes have been planted in between each in hopes of future privacy.
The lake was beautiful healthy and a great temperature for swimming, kayaking and more. Loved the scenery
Its an okay park. It says cyclists welcome and stuff.. But most trails are for avid cyclists. Most rangers and stuff are friendly. Some are rude, especially one that said "I'll throw you out of the park" for not going at 10 kph within the campground. The washrooms are smelly and need some deep cleaning than just wiping down. Campsites are small too with narrow entrances. Probably won't return to this one.
Great site. Quaint beaches and rivers with great views. Most campsites were better than ours simply because we didn't have a lot of shade. Make sure you download maps of the area before going because there's no cell service and they don't provide you any at the entrance. We had to find the bathrooms and beaches by asking around and guessing.
Wonderful camping grounds with easy access to lakes, hiking trails, beaches, nature. It isn't unusual to see wild animals, ranging from squirrels to wild hare to turkey to white-tailed deer
