Camping Lac Lafontaine - Saint-Jérôme

Beautiful campground with many well maintained amenities and excellent wifi. Conveniently located close to shops and restaurants. Amazing friendly staff who are almost all bilingual. I had no problem communicating as an English speaking guest. I've camped here many times and have never been disappointed. 5 stars!

It was a pretty place, lots of stuff for kids but they do not let you have a fire past 10. I understand a noise curfew, but if I would have known about the fire curfew I never would have stayed there. I have never even heard of something like that. The fire curfew ruined the entire experience, it's a stupid place, I'll never go there again.

After having camped there on 4 occasions in the past, we needed to cancel our reservation this summer due to a breakdown with our camper. My wife called to cancel our reservation. Mrs Lafontaine was not only very rude to my wife, she did not refund us a single penny. I later called to try to use the 3 day stay in September; she refused even though she admitted there were plenty of campsites available!!! WOW! ... how's that for customers satisfaction! I WILL NEVER STAY there again as long as the Lafontaine family owns this property.

BEWARE THE 14 DAY CANCELLATION POLICY! Equipment problems, which occurred within the 14 day cancellation policy timeframe, meant we had to return home early so could not use our stay. They offered a rebooking but when we asked for dates next year they said no, it had to be this year. I explained there is no possible way we could be back this way this year and was cited the usual “it’s our politic”. No consideration at all, they’ve kept our full deposit. Even a 50% refund of our deposit would have been a decent gesture under the circumstances but this appears to be a family run operation behaving like a big bureaucracy. Too bad because we’ll never book here again (obviously) and will pass along the warning. We’d give them a 0 rating if we could too!

I am quite disappointed that your video shows a slide that I promised my grandchildren to take them here because of the slide in the pool when there in no slide. There is s dog that is non stop barking. We just arrived today for the weekend but won't be coming back. You should update your video because it's very misleading.
