This is the most amazing campground. Hands down. Absolutely breathtaking views. Staff is awesome and always happy. Neighbors were great, I've never seen a group of happier people. Safe location, I even fell asleep on the beach one night without a care in the world! I can't wait to come back!! It will be soon!!
When our kids were little (30 yrs ago), we would stay in our RV on sites directly on the beach. We came multiple times/years during the peak seasons. Now that we are “Snow Birds”, we enjoy staying in one of the cabins. The outside of the cabins may not look great; but inside they are very nice. This is our (wife & I) 4th winter here and have reserved a cabin for next winter. The staff is great. The activities are plentiful. During these winter months, many campers are “regulars” and have made many friends here.
The staff is amazing! The park has great amenities. We were there over Thanksgiving and the potluck was fantastic! The bad... We were close to the main road and it was loud most of the evening. The spaces are the tightest that we have stayed at. The beach is close and we enjoyed our time there. Overall it was an enjoyable stay.
Stay Far, Far Away! Horrifying and Disgusting Place! If I could give this place ZERO stars, I would. Our stay here was an absolute nightmare. From the moment we walked into our cabin, we were greeted by cockroaches crawling on the walls, floors, and even in the bedding. It was obvious that cleanliness is not a priority here, and the whole cabin smelled like it hadn’t been aired out or cleaned in months. The bathhouses were even worse. Walking into them was like stepping into a horror movie. Mold and mildew covered the walls, ceiling, and floors, giving off a sickening smell. The showers were coated in slime, with stains that looked like they’d been there forever. Bugs of all kinds were crawling around, making it clear they had their own “ecosystem” in there. It felt dirtier after leaving than before I walked in. And if that wasn't enough, the staff was shockingly rude. When we asked about cleaning the cabin, they rolled their eyes, made sarcastic comments, and acted like we were out of line for even bringing it up. Not one person took responsibility, nor did they offer any solution whatsoever. We couldn't get any rest either, thanks to paper-thin walls that let every sound from our loud, partying neighbors filter through all night long. When we asked for a refund because we simply couldn't stay another night, they refused, hiding behind “policy” instead of caring about our experience. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs. It's filthy, the staff is rude, and you’d be better off sleeping in your car. This place should honestly be shut down by health inspectors.
Great place to visit. It's the only campground that's actually on the beach (to my knowledge) some of the sites are extremely tight and close making it rough getting in sometimes. But with some help from spotters it's doable. The bath houses are always spotless. The check in process is seamless. When there is heavy rains in the area part of the park does have some flooding or standing water, but the park does a fantastic job of pumping the water as well as scraping the streets to help move water.
