This review only from the 01/12/2025 expo. The selection is pretty wide for any budget/configuration. However, we were interested in looking at RVs, which today all had pink stick-ons and were all locked saying: no sales of RVs on Sunday. It would be prudent to have them at least unlocked for people to see. No expectations on buying if that was the rule. So this was a little strange during expo. The place is very large so many options to explore and it is indoors. Another unpleasant thing was a very stinky badly cleaned women’s bathroom. Unbearable stench. Maybe sanitize the women’s bathroom so it is meticulously clean. Doesn’t make a good impression. I can’t comment on purchase and servicing here as no experience so far.
Our family loves this place! My son purchased a camper trailer & my nephew purchase an RV. Special thank you & blessing to Shane. He is the type of salesman everyone wishes they would get! Not pushy ...very knowledgeable...kind & considerate...and also approaches the sale from a customer service standpoint! We pray for many blessings for Shane & all of your employees! The horror started when I took my 2012 Chateau in for insurance covered repairs to fix a rear-end which demolished the back area of the rv. Luckily we weren’t in it at the time. Our deductible was $500, they started repairs. We received the rv back a lot later than quoted but as it was off-season, it wasn’t too bad so we put the rv in storage. We never used it again and two years later we ended up selling the rv. I get a call about a week later from the buyer asking me if I knew about the large jagged hole in the top of the black water tank. I informed him that after the disclosed accident and repair, we stored the vehicle and never took it out again. He asked me where the rv was repaired and I told him Camping World in DeForest. What I heard next was the longest sigh I’ve ever heard over the phone. Apparently he had dealt with them before. Never again.
Do not buy from Camping World Madison. If you do, review your paperwork very closely and request a copy of it all. Do not buy the Good Sam extra warranties. If you change your mind or sell your RV you do not get all the money back.
Can’t say enough good about Shane sales rep, Dillion Manager, and Mike sales manager. Were extremely easy to work with, low or no pressure which makes buying comfortable. Was able to make the numbers work for me. They deserve A* Highly Recommend! Would buy again tomorrow if needed another camper. Please check them out before you buy one, you will not be disappointed 👍
