CampMD Vacation Cottages

I always have the best time at camp Merryelande! Very chill and peaceful campground for tent camping. Very relaxing camp experience as there is not much to do. Some people swim, the water is clean but cold! The bathrooms are dirty but it’s okay❤️. Plugs and water fountains all around the tent sites are very convenient. The trees and water are beautiful. The perfect little get away!

Love, love the place very clean and friendly, great for a family vacation, kids have a great time in the beach, the cottages are clean and comfortable, the campsites are big and beach front😍, the workers are friendly and respectful, I like that they don’t allow glass bottles so there aren’t broken glass in the beach area or anywhere else, it’s a 11/10 for me, I recommend it to anyone out there looking for a family campground They do movie night for kids on Saturday and they have a nice mini golf, don’t miss out!!

Fishing, eating, laughing, dancing, drinking, sharing, making friends and much more...we will for sure repeat it again. 100% recommended

Overall, it was horrible. I was hoping for a nice family vacation and a bit of peace. But as soon as we arrived I was completely shocked to see what I had paid for. We had supposedly paid for everything in advance, but when we arrived at the front, they wanted another 100 and didn't specify what the fee was for. The smell inside the cottage was unpleasant, a moldy odor. As soon as my girls walked in, they got some sort of allergy reaction. We were charged with a cleaning fee, and it DID NOT look clean to me. I stayed the night because we couldn't just drive back 7 hours in pitch black, and I was hoping to give the place a chance. The next morning, my girls got worse with the reactions, and I went outside to look around. It didn't look safe for my kids and my family to stay for the rest of the expected stay. There were beer bottles laying around and cigarette buds all over. In my opinion, this is not a family oriented place to go for vacation and more like an adult environment. We left right that minute and didn't receive a penny back. They told my brother they would call him after 3 days to talk about what happened. When they did call him, they asked to send them pictures, but they refused to refund part of the payment. Although you can't take away from nature. The beach is nice. But I don't recommend this place at all for the people who have kids.

Went there with my family yesterday and there was a guy that pulled out a knife on us at the pier. Told the and the Staff DIDNT DO ANYTHING. Said that their turn was done, clocked out and left. Didn’t even call the police or do anything to help us. These people don’t care about you, they just care about taking your money 😂 pathetic. Definitely DONT RECOMMEND people coming here because it’s not a safe place for family especially kids.
