Campsite U Introduce

Welcome to Campsite U, your ideal destination for a rustic and immersive outdoor experience nestled in the heart of Ontario, WI. Situated on Hay Valley Rd, our campground offers a serene escape for nature enthusiasts, RV travelers, and those seeking a primitive camping adventure. Whether you're planning a weekend getaway or an extended stay, Campsite U provides a unique blend of simplicity and natural beauty.

At Campsite U, we pride ourselves on offering a true primitive camping experience. Our site is designed for those who appreciate the raw beauty of nature, with minimal amenities to ensure an authentic outdoor adventure. The campground is conveniently located near a trailhead, making it an excellent base for hiking and exploring the surrounding area. While our site is classified as "water accessible," please note that access points may vary, so we recommend planning accordingly.

Despite its primitive nature, Campsite U has garnered attention for its unique charm. Here’s what some of our visitors have shared:

  • "Kind of a terrible campsite, to be honest. Absolutely nothing blocking the line of sight from the road, so no privacy. It made trying to execute using my cat hole pretty difficult."
  • "Several people stopped for the well at the trailhead & most of them had some type of conversation with me. This dispersed & primitive campsite is somehow not private at all."
  • "In multiple places on KVR documentation, it says there is a primitive take-out point at Bridge 6 which made this site classified as 'water accessible.' Absolutely no such thing exists."
  • "Another more minor complaint is the lack of nice level ground for pitching your tent."

While Campsite U may not offer the luxuries of modern campgrounds, it provides an unparalleled opportunity to connect with nature in its purest form. Pack your gear, embrace the adventure, and create lasting memories at Campsite U. For more information or to plan your visit, feel free to reach out directly.

Kind of a terrible campsite, to be honest. Absolutely nothing blocking the line of sight from the road, so no privacy. It made trying to execute using my cat. hole pretty difficult. Several people stopped for the well at the trailhead & most of them had some type of conversation with me. This dispersed & primitive campsite is somehow not private at all. Additionally, in multiple places on KVR documentation it says there is a primitive take-out point at Bridge 6 which made this site classified as "water accessible". Absolutely no such thing exists. Thankfully, I didn't plan to access the site from the water only & had my vehicle. Another more minor complaint is the lack of nice level ground for pitching your tent.
