Absolutely breathtaking views. Great for wildlife viewing and massive wave watching. Serious rip tides at boardwalk area 2 so be careful if you go swimming. Had a great time hunting for sea shells. I will definitely be going back in the future.
My favorite way to beach it in NSB! Also has nature trails, museums and great spots to drop kayaks for those seeking adventure. The park rangers are all friendly and knowledgeable. Warning: The last beach lot may be too adventurous for some, myself included lol
Our family absolutely loved this sparsely populated beach, just down the road from New Smyrna Beach. Great sand and waves, just our speed. Pelicans, sand creatures, tortoise, a stingray jumping out of the water! and ocean birds. We used the space launch app and watched a Star Link launch, which was super cool. Killer mosquitoes on any trails away from the beach.
It was a worthwhile stop, even though mine was during a downpour. There are some trails, nice beach access, and wildlife. The visitor center is small but has some cool displays.
The unobstructed views at this beach are incredible. It's far enough out of the way that the beach was nearly free of visitors an hour after it opened. The water was clean and the sand along the beach free of debris. The only real issue with my experience here was that I was eaten alive by presumably no-see-ums even though I was coated in bug deterrent. I must have between 50-70 welts on my feet going up my legs and scattered randomly along my waist and shoulders. If I wasn't left scratching for days after, this would have been a very lovely memory here.
