This place surprised me to find it in absolute gross stinky building. The hallways smell like cigarettes and cooked food. The carpet thru out is stained very badly. On the website it shows the check-in area and it looks all nice and neat and pretty but that is false advertisement. The check-in area in all actuality is much smaller and not as neat/ clean. Biggest thing that gets me with this hotel was the god-awful smell. I had a wax burning thing that I plugged up in my room and thank God for it. Had I not had that I wouldn't have been able to stay there due to the smell. On the day of checkout it smelled like a dead animal in the hotel. My room was the only place throughout the building that I could access for relief. The room size that I was in was very good and it did have a small kitchen with a full size refrigerator and dishwasher. The dishwasher was very loud but it did wash. The little area where you are supposed to be able to purchase items and food 24 hours a day was also a joke. There was nothing there. All in all I will not be returning to that place ever. The management company can do better because they manage many other buildings in the area that do not look like that.

This is a hotel that has given up on the customer service piece. The elevator does not work, the laundry washers do not work, the carpets look like they have not been cleaned in years, housekeeping tries to enter rooms without announcing who they are, the "clean" room I am in had no soap or shampoo [there is a nearby CVS, I refuse to use whatever I might get from this dump], the key cards to rooms only work intermittently. Truly, a terrible experience and I will never, ever, stay here again. They do allow pets but apparently enforcing where the pets relieve themselves is no longer a concern.

I travel for work therfore I stay in alot of hotels, this wasn't the best hotel but it was one of my top dislikes, the elevator was broken when we first got there. The staff said it's been down for about a week now they didn't know when they would have it fixed. The staff was also alittle rude. The rooms weren't to bad. The beds were pretty comfortable. Fridge was huge, long story short we ended up leaving the hotel a week later because we didn't wanna walk 3 flights of stairs everyday after work and that's when they were more concerned to try and fix the elevator

Not Happy with Candlewood Suites & IHG group at this time. check in time 3pm - arrived at 4pm told room wasn't ready. Asked if we really needed a handicap room that I reserve. I said yes - while my husband is standing with a cane next to me. Within 5 minutes the room is done. We go up, something was not right. Sure enough dirty sheets, stained blanket, leaves on the floor. Go back down to file a complaint. Had to wait another 20 minutes while the "reclean" the room. Found a roach crawling on the wall in the hall, my husband killed it. We left a bag of garbage by our door for the cleaning people. Went for breakfast come back to find our key cards - yes both cards not working. Had to go back down to have them reset. They tried to say they are sensitive and we must have had by our other cards or phone. Um no, that card it in a secure case. Yet this was both cards kept in 2 different places. View out our room is to say the least a surprise. Yes that is a wall -- you see NOTHING! Will we stay here again? No! Would I recommend it? No! IHG should be looking into this. On top of this - Candlewood Suites was our second option. We were supposed to stay at Staybridge in in Destin - brand new hotel. Made the reservations in advance. Only to get an email 2-1/2 weeks before arrival they cancelled the reservation because the hotel is not finished being built. Only we are sorry. Note to self for our next visit to this area - do not stay with IHG brand hotels and we come down a few times a year.

It was okay. Upon checking the lady at the desk was nice until I asked how much was being charged on my card, then she decided to be rude and find different ways to answer the question without just being straightforward. Then we got to the room and there was a hole in the closet door and the AC made loud rattling noises when on, which made it hard to sleep. Then there was an issue with the security aspect. We accidentally left a key in our room and got a new one. She asked for room number and didn’t even check ID or verify the name. Just immediately keyed a card for entry, anyone could have gotten a key to our room. I won’t be staying here again.
