Got in late, we were met by the Host, a fine gentleman, who told us, sorry we’re full, then proceeded to say, while you turn around, I’ll start making some calls to find you a spot. Sure enough, a few minutes later, he had found us a spot for the night, this is a wonderful place, only drawback is we are not staying longer. Peaceful, quiet, calm, and friendly. The river running by, the sunrise, just perfect. Special thanks to the camp ground host!!!! Oh and Erwin approved, it’s a pet friendly place!

Camped midweek with our 33ft motorhome. Plenty of space. Hubby had no trouble backing in. Located on the backside of the fairgrounds, next to the river. Away from traffic and noise, yet close to downtown Fort Benton. Camp Host was very nice. Great place to relax and unwind. Very reasonably priced.Look forward to staying there again.

$12/night to pitch a tent. It’s right by the river and the view is beautiful. However, it was very frustrating to pull up, exhausted, drive a good distance from camp host, who had her dog off leash and was not even monitoring the dog, let our dogs out to play in the river (zero interaction between the dogs whatsoever) and have the camp host come out and holler across the drive that our dogs needed to be on leash. When her dog was not on leash, no signs indicated it, and our dogs were not near her, her dog, or anyone for that matter. Respectfully, who would want to camp with their dog on leash? Seems like you can’t do anything these days without someone controlling your every move. Seems like an ideal place for a single person without pets to stay. Wouldn’t recommend it otherwise.

Lucky was our camp host and he took us in for the night when we had troubles in the river. There are still good people in this world and he is definitely one of them. The camp ground is small but perfect hunting or fishing trips. We will definitely be coming back.

Pretty basic. The tents site don't have a place to park your car like "in" the site, it's more like parking on the side of the main road. $10 for tent, $20 for RV. Fire pit, concrete picnic tables, vault toilet. But decent hot showers, running water, and flush toilets next door at the fairgrounds we could use. Great location to explore Fort Benton for a night or two.
