This is a nice place very peaceful however the directions and Information is a little misleading. The cabins are located on the opposite of the island from where the docks are ( if you are there while park personnel are there they will assist you with getting your belongings to the cabin). The cabins have 4 twin beds the one set is a bunk bed. The mattresses are old but will do the job as long as you don't have any back issues or are heavy. There are approximately 2 receptacles to plug your things into there is a refrigerator with a freezer in it there is a bathroom with a toilet in a small kitchen area with a sink a table and chairs. There are minimal overhead lights but get the job done. The cabins do not have showers. The boat dock is dilapidated and run down needs upgraded and honestly they need to put boat docks closer to the cabin area . The other issue is there is nowhere to charge your boat batteries I was told just take the batteries put of your boat and carry them to your cabin and charge them well thats hard to do with lithium battaries and even if I had the old lead batteries that still would be a hassle and a lot of heavy lifting so take a generator with an extension cord that is heavy enough to do the job. There is one outlet by the park office that is used by every other person on the island

Good campground. You can buy ice and wood from the office and they are reasonably priced. We launched our boat at Wellesley island campground and camped at canoe point for the charity poker run weekend. The only complaint is the bathrooms are outdated and a urinal was broken.

So much fun for no money. Worth taking a picnic and a bathing suit here. Only accessible by boat so that's s must.
