An absolute fun day for swimming, kids jumping in and river snorkeling. We went just up the road to the Little Falls and spent the day there. Hot day and even though it was shady in the canyon the wind blowing the warm air down off of the hillside it was so enjoyable temperature-wise. Water isn't too cold and we spent a lot of the day actually in the water. There were a lot of people there early but the pool at the bottom of the falls is huge so it doesn't seem that crowded.
Nice campground on the river. Bathrooms have water but aren't awesome. They do the job. All campsites are off the main highway - so quiet.
Beautiful, small, private, out-of-the way campground. Pit toilet. Running water via spigots. Gorgeous access to the river. Research the many waterfalls in the area ahead of time or get a brochure from the entrance of Susan Creek campground, a few miles away from this site. Do not skip the short drive to Little Falls on your trip!
Nestled in the woods, cute cottages that are a little tight but have every need provided for. A kitchen, two story, two bed, fireplace, even with a outdoor grill. No cellphone or wifi at the cottages. That can be a plus or a minus. Dogs are welcome.
Great swimming hole right off Highway 138. I would recommend water shoes/sandals of some sort. The rocks are pretty slippery. There is a bbq and picnic area with a water spigot. The only bathroom is a vault toilet in the campground.
