Canyon Lake Observation Park offers expansive views, a beautiful lake, and lush green grass. It's perfect for a peaceful walk or run along the dam. Whether you're into photography, sunbathing, or enjoying nature, this spot is a true gem. I had the honor of capturing couples' photos here, and it’s easily in my top five favorite places near home to photograph. I even chose this special spot for my baby girl's one-year photos.
I've been here many times, its my go to weekend summer spot because of the clear water. its not muddy but very rocky insted which is much better for swimming, ive always wanted to get some goggles and go diving, maybe next summer!!!!
I absolutely enjoyed this place. Beautiful and quiet. Not somewhere you spend a lot of time at. Great for hiking and walking or sight seeing.
The park is beautiful, access to the lake. People stop littering! Isn't it a pity to kill such a beauty? I collected two bags of garbage while I was walking because I couldn't stay indifferent. Let's take care of nature!
My partner and I visited Overlook Park in November, and it was a fantastic experience. The weather was perfect—cool and pleasant—which made our walk along the dam even more enjoyable. The views of Canyon Lake and the surrounding Hill Country were absolutely stunning, and the tranquil atmosphere was just what we needed to unwind. The park is clean and well-maintained, and we appreciated the care put into keeping it beautiful. Parking was a bit limited, but we managed to find a spot without too much trouble. Overall, it’s a must-visit destination if you’re in the area, especially during the cooler months!
