Awesome park to swim and bbq! Covered picnic tables helped with the blazing sun, and the water was only like a 2 min walk away, the fam and I enjoyed it!
Great place to take family. Had the park mostly to ourselves. The gate attendant could do better with his attitude.
It’s tuff to rate these parks right now because the current water levels are so low because of the blistering heat. With that being said, I thought this place was good. We paid $20 for the everyone in the truck. We went on a weekday so there was hardly anyone there (water levels). NO FLIES?! We did enjoy ourselves, though there was plenty of algae floating on top of the water.
Camped at site #40. Nice, very primitive camping spots for the family if you have a portable camping toilet. If not I wouldn't recommend camping here, the out-house style toilets were disgusting. Our site was close to the water, the kids enjoyed swimming and we caught several catfish. I do have to mention that the lady at the front gate, she must have been having a bad day - she was rude.
Clean from debris. Scenic views throughout. Easily accessible. Restaurants near by. Grocery store close by. Gas station very close. I recommend this location.
A mud bath. The beach sucks. When I stepped in the water I'm looking around like ughhhh.... this feels gross on my feet. Then these girls in tubes were telling their Fri to jump in the mud bath. So I start laughing. It is a mud bath. Sucks to ride a motorcycle and your feet are filthy still. Just mud all over. Hard to rinse them toes. I'd rather pay a girl on onlyfans 20 bucks then 20 to get back in here. Not worth 20
