My family and I had a great, if too short, stay at Canyon View RV Resort and had a wonderful time. The grounds were immaculate. Raked gravel on the paths. Beautiful green, sprinklered grass, fire pits and picnic tables at all the sites. Love that for the kids to play with the dog. A well stocked general store and the place had a nice family atmosphere. We look forward to seeing the wonderful staff again soon. Thanks for everything. Oh yeah- we left our daughter's baby blanket there and Jennifer was kind enough to arrange to ship it back home to us. I'd rate Canyon View RV Resort 6 out 5 stars if I could.
Beautiful new RV resort with great amenities. I did not use bathrooms or showers but went into check them out and they were so clean and nice. Staff took you to your site and they were so friendly and helpful. Sites were huge with lots of room in between. Love the double sewer hook up for those RVs like ours that have 2 tanks. Visit Colorado National Monument while you are so, amazing!
The "cabin" is just a tiny home trailer with skirting around it. It's expensive as heck, and nothing worked right. The ice machine didn't work, the toilet clogged every morning, sometimes in the afternoon too. They would take an hour to come unclog it and we would have to deal with no toilet for hours every day. We kept the place very clean, there was normal every day stuff that was a little dirty but we were there for a month so that's to be expected. They said the place was "trashed" and kept our deposit, even though it needed no more than a couple hours of cleaning. By the way, housekeeping is supposed to be INCLUDED in the price, but it's not. We didn't get our deposit back because housekeeping had to do a regular amount of work. They charge 10 dollars to use the hot tub per DAY. There was garbage all around the park, maintainence was poor, and it smelled a lot near the dumpsters. The best part of this whole trip was the homeless people. You could see them any time of day or night walking around the park, going through dumpsters, using the bathrooms. One man stood outside the showers and when we passed by, asked for the code to get inside. He seemed nice but it made us VERY uncomfortable, why the heck are they allowed in the campground? Insane! There are kids walking around which is a bit scary with the bums walking around, but like I said they seem harmless. Go literally anywhere else, it's not worth it.
Super clean and great facilities. There is a nice park nearby. One of our children had a soccer tournament at the park so it was really convenient. Everyone was nice and helpful. It’s a little noisy due to its proximity to the freeway. You have great views of the red rock cliffs. We plan to stay there again in the future.
This is the nicest RV park we've ever stayed in and for a decent price. (In part due to the 20% off feature they were running.) Great store and laundry, the most amenities I've see almost anywhere. They even have recycling. (The Mt. Rushmore KOA had more amenities but some of the worst RV sites I have ever seen.) We didn't use the pool or hottub although they looked very appealing. The sites are spectacular. Plenty of room for the RV with an adjacent space for the truck. You step out onto a lovely cement patio with a picnic table, a large, well-kept grassy area beyond that and a fire pit in a pink, gravel area. There are also two sewer choices on the larger pull through sites. It's like an RVer actually planned the park. Just an overall great RV Resort.
