For Missouri residents seeking a reliable and engaging escape, particularly one focused on water activities, Caplinger Woods stands out.

The primary reason to choose this spot is its superior logistics for float trips on the Sac River. This is a massive benefit for families and groups who want to maximize their time on the water. A great beautiful little place for a quick get away from KC with friendly staff. However there was a biker group there the same weekend we and other campers paid to camp at. The bikers were disrespectful, loud by reving up there bikes constantly talking over the engines and gathered on top of the hill being as loud as they could possibly for hours, be without having any regard for the other campers. The office or who ever runs this campground did nothing to stop it or politely ask them to stop. First thing in the am at 7am they on their bikes gathered together with loud music playing, while others were trying to sleep. Have some respect! Rudest bunch of bikers hands down!!
