We had a truly lovely stay at Captain’s Quarters Campground. We camped amongst the geese and the resident mule. It was so peaceful, surrounded by golden plains. The hobby farm is very well maintained. Our dog really appreciated the dog park- a large fenced in area where we could play fetch safely. Electrical and water hookups. Very nice and helpful host. Highly recommend!

My wife and I loved staying at Captains Quarters! What a perfect spot if you are traveling Hwy 20, and you need a safe, clean, and fun place to stay. The Hosts are genuinely kind and love what they do. We watch a family stop who were concerned they didn't have enough gas to get them three miles up the road to the gas station; they were fine as the light JUST came on. But, instead of insisting they were fine, the hosts added a gallon of fuel to their car and refused to take money for it. We will definitely stay here again if it works out.

Much appreciated the experience, much to be said about such wonderful people who are willing to let weary travels stay the night in such a remote location. The view of the stars at night was breathtaking without the glare of city lights.

Nice quiet little place right along the highway. Very nice people with a very nice flat spot for RV. They have a little dog off leash area that is well taken care of. They have water and electricity. They have the sweetest mule on property who lives a good ear scratch. Great quick stop over for travel.
