BLM campground, free, well maintained, vault toilets, level/graveled sites. Located right on the Yellowstone River, back off the highway makes for a quiet/secluded spot. Stayed here for 3 nights, a great spot. This campground has a camp host.

Terrific BLM CG. Super windy. Great access to the river from all of the sites. We kayaked down Yankee Jim Canyon to our campsite! Visited Yellowstone from here through North Gate aka Roosevelt Gate. Gardiner offers decent provisioning. No water here. No trash. You can drop off trash at the entrance to the area, but there are signs warning illegal (not resident) dumping fines of $250. The sites are FCFS and free. The sites are sufficient for most any size rig. Good pit toilets. Nice for a week stay.

What a great BLM campground right on the Yellowstone River. It has easy access. The road in is well maintained directly off US 89 about twenty miles north of the North Yellowstone entrance. You have to camp in the numbered spaces but there are plenty to go around with several large enough for the largest rigs. Every site has a picnic table fire ring and bear-proof food box. It is first come first serve. There are a couple of vault toilets onsite as well. States are limited to 2 weeks as usual with any BLM land and there is a camp host that monitors your length of stay.

Beat all my expectations! We are early in the season for the Yellowstone and the weather has been great! The campsite roads have been completely reworked and are in great shape. Mountains on one side and Yellowstone River on the other, simply beautiful. Great for big rigs. There are small numbers of spots and they are all first come first serve so you will have to get there first. Other public campsites like Canyon campground and Eagle Creek can only accommodate smaller campers and are difficult to maneuver through. This is a dispersed site with no connections but you do have a picnic table, fire ring and locker at the campsite. Two thumbs way up! 👍👍 This site made our Yellowstone trip a success.

Great location, remodeled since flood. The netting at boat launch from landscaping is causing issues but other than that a good stop for one night only
