It's very beautiful. We wanted to try the fishing but the streams were a little too quick still to be any good. Plan on coming back later on hopefully the streams will slow down a bit

60 years ago this was an overnight camp ground with most spaces on the down river side of the bridge and a few spaces on the up river side of the bridge. Trout was stocked at least once per week. There was an unoccupied ranger cabin at the camp. The hike to Carlon falls was always fun and some hikers would jump off the top of the falls. Down stream, beyond walking distance, was a small general store where we could stock up on supplies including block ice, which was always needed for our two week campouts. Glad to see it is still a place to see.

We were her for a BBQ in the evening after a Yosemite hike. great place to spend the evening, with about 5 Picnic tables with BBQ possible. Restrooms availible. Right next to the river in middle of forest is very nice atmosphere :)
