Carolina Domes

We had the best weekend staying in the dome! When we arrived, Tessa had everything nice, neat, clean, and ready for us. She even had a bottle of champagne and fresh cinnamon rolls waiting for us (they were delicious)! Our favorite things were the sunset on the porch, getting in the hot tub at night, and going to see bill the bull in the morning. Tessa also recommended hiking catawba falls and then eating at Hillmans after. The hike was beautiful and the food at Hillmans was great. We loved it so much we are already planning our next trip back to the dome!

We came here for my husband's birthday, and this was one of our best getaways. The dome was so cozy, and the nature around us was so peaceful and relaxing. We had a great time rejuvenating in the outdoors by the bonfire under the open sky with the stars and moon shining. Everything was perfect. We will be coming back again. And the hosts are awesome people and very responsive they try their best to provide you with unforgettable adventurous experience.

Our stay at this dome Airbnb exceeded all expectations! The space is wonderfully spacious, with floor-to-ceiling windows that showcase breathtaking, panoramic views. Visiting in the fall, we were surrounded by an explosion of autumn colors that made every moment feel magical. The peacefulness of the area added to the serene atmosphere, and at night, we were treated to an unspoiled sky full of stars—absolutely mesmerizing! The dome’s unique design is ideal for quality family time. With cozy furnishings and thoughtful touches, it strikes the perfect balance between nature and comfort, offering an elevated glamping experience. Every moment here felt special, from morning coffee with a view to cozy evenings under the stars. We couldn’t stop sharing photos, and friends immediately reached out wanting to know more about this place. This dome is a hidden gem, and we can’t recommend it enough for anyone looking for a beautiful, memorable escape. Highly recommended!

Our family had the most unforgettable experience staying at the Pond View Dome at Carolina Domes in North Carolina! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the beauty and tranquility of the location. The dome provided the perfect blend of nature and comfort. The dome is spacious, well-designed, and equipped with everything a family needs for a comfortable stay. The panoramic window allowed us to enjoy stunning views, and the natural light flooding in made the space feel airy and welcoming. The kids were thrilled to have their own cozy sleeping area upstairs and we all loved stargazing and making s’mores by the fire at night. The hosts were incredibly thoughtful, providing amenities like a fire pit for roasting marshmallows and a well-equipped kitchen for easy family meals, hot tub and more! What truly sets this place apart is the attention to detail and the genuine hospitality of the hosts. They made sure we had everything we needed for a relaxing stay and went above and beyond to ensure we felt at home.

My family of 4 + our standard poodle had an amazing stay in Pond View Dome at Carolina Domes Glamping! We cooked over the fire, enjoyed the private hot tub and took in the beautiful mountain views. The host, Tessa, was quick to answer any questions. Nearby we visited Chimney Rock and had lunch at Lured Market & Grill (both are dog friendly). The dome offers everything you need for a perfect glamping getaway - Can’t wait to stay here again!

This was the most amazing little getaway. My husband and my two kids and I had the best time. We were able to disconnect and focus on our family of four and spent just about all of our time outside, until evening came.. It’s far enough away to escape the noise, while close enough to grab brunch. The animals were the highlight of our trip And we took a little nature walk.The kids absolutely loved the hot tub. The dome itself was incredible. It was so unique, yet super cozy and comfortable. All of the beds were very comfortable! We enjoyed a night in and cooked dinner. The kitchen had everything we needed! It rained just a bit and was such a great experience over the dome. Tessa and her husband were only a text or phone call away at any moment. They were incredibly sweet and we got to chat with both of them. We cannot wait to go back and definitely gonna stay longer next time. The sweet card, Prosecco, and fresh cinnamon rolls upon arrival was the sweetest touch. 🩵

We had an amazing stay at our dome!! The domes are very well finished out, plenty of room for our family of four, clean, and hosts go above and beyond to make the stay extra special. The setting is perfect for enjoying the company you are with, and nature. There are also some great hikes offered very close by, and you can tell the community is determined to recover from Hurricane Helene, by how they have worked and cleared the trails, so far. I can’t wait to bring my family back in a few years to see more of the scenic sights, and we will FOR SURE be staying in one of the domes again, but a much longer stay-we did not want to leave after only 2 nights!!

If I could leave Carolina Domes an over 5 star review,, I most certainly would!! My sister and I, both accountants, needed to travel away from a successful and stressful tax season in Mid Michigan. I was born on Shaw AFB in Sumter, SC and at 50 years knew I needed to finally see where I entered the world. My sister decided marking glamping off the bucket list along the way would be a good idea. Was she ever right!! We came across Carolina Domes and knew it was the perfect choice. Tessa was phenomenal with communication immediately!! The Treetop Dome is just purely enchanting. Every detail is very intentional. The dome is better in quality and appearance than any hotel I've seen. It is stunning while being cozy and home like. We left only once to grab a local pizza and some groceries, which was an easy trip. We only wandered down far enough to meet the animals, and were fortunate enough to meet Tessa and Zak as well. The views from the Treetop Dome are breathtaking. The perfect way to decompress and refresh. I would highly recommend Carolina Domes to anybody looking to relax or be adventurous on the welcoming 15 acres. Tessa and Zak are above and beyond the most gracious hosts. It is obvious they have poured their hearts and souls into this beautiful escape, and it speaks volumes as to the wonderful humans they are. The animals are very sweet also 🙂
