Couldn't believe we would be staying at a campsite with no dumpsters available. Spoke to a really nice man,a Mr Green, who worked for the Corps. He explained the situation and told us he was working to resolve it. Next day there was a huge dumpster ready to use. (Mark?) Green is the man. Thank you. We also had a new camp host. After many years Preston and Debbie retired. The only comment I can make here is to beg them to come back out of retirement. The new host told us not to park on the grass. I can only assume she meant the pine needles and bare soil. A simple smile is all it takes to be friendly. The campsite itself is wonderful and a group of us return every year for spring break. Fishing was a bit hit and miss but at least the lake level was normal for the time of year.

Stayed one night at the campground. Cell signal is patchy, but the campground was clean and well kept. The bathrooms were clean as well. Great place if you don't mind the Internet disconnect!

If you want to get off grid, and you want to be at a lake without swimming, this is your place! I personally hate it lol but that's just because I hate being without cell service. 🙃 The sites are pretty and easy to get into with our large rig, but I hate not having cell service 😑 I know, I already said that, but I really hate not having cell service 😢. There is a swimming area, but it was 100° and only 2 people were swimming. Noone even had their kids in the water. It's not the cleanest water to swim in. Now, if you love fishing, and having an excuse for not answering your phone, you will LOVE it 😀
