What a great spot!! The old Carter trail is fun, on the right machine. The yurt seems to be in great shape and the outhouse has to be the cleanest I've seen on the mountain. Nice job!!
Ants, ants, ants - great location but the infestation in the yurt was too much,. I'm sure the forest service will take care of it but after 1.5 hour drive from Vernal we were unable to stay the night as they were all over the beds. Tons of animals, we saw several deer and elk. There is a skylight in the yurt that make star gazing at night easy. They yurt is in good shape otherwise.
The best experience! The parks staff take great care of the park and the yurt was in great shape.we used the new fire pit to cook every meal. Well done park service,we will be back!
Dead flies everywhere! It was nasty! And really uncomfortable beds! The area was beautiful, and we had a good time. Great cooking stove and heating stove!
