Depends what you like. If you like bush and wildlife including skunks, porcupines, fox, deer and more - it does offer that and they are cute by the campfire. It is a reasonably quiet park. The river is cute enough. Last year Covid rules were used for every excuse to not open any services or events in the campground or do any work in the campground until it came to a Halloween event. Then there were 40+ children running around collecting candy. All summer there may have been 10-12 children in the park, not sure where the excess came from. My parents site had a new pad installed on it and it was like waves in the ocean, I raked for hours to smooth out the trip-hazard for my 80+ year parents. An old rotten picnic table that I had asked be removed when we booked the site was still there when we left in October. Restrictions were strict for visitors which is understandable in a Pandemic - well maybe but not after having such a great Halloween night. They charge extra for having an air conditioner then Camp rule - you cannot stay anymore than 2 weeks for the whole season but you can stay any number of weekends. We would not have used that much hydro the whole season. I have never seasonally camped anywhere in Ontario with this rule. Rules seemed to be in place for the convenience of owners not for making a better place or for their clients. We had 1 other neighbour close to us that were a lovely couple and friendly but there seemed to be very few others that were friendly. We were part of a group of 3 that moved there after another campground in area had closed - none of us liked Casawinati at all - we have all moved on to another.

Note sure what Sue is talking about. The grounds are well maintained and the wildlife is part of the appeal of casawinati. The owners are extremely pleasant and accommodating to any needs that come up. The park is quiet with amazing people. This is a highly recommended park.

We have Being coming here for over 20 year, love it. Our kids and now Grandkids enjoy their stay. Swimming , fishing, and there favorite every year Halloween trick or treat in August every year.

Amazing place! Our site is perfect, the owners are super friendly and all the campers we’ve met over the years have been lovely! We wouldn’t want to camp anywhere else!

It was great. Very clean and well maintained. I enjoyed trailer camping on a big lot. The showers were hot and the washrooms very clean.
