Camped here in the summer of 2018, very gentle hike from the trail head - Amazing place! The cascade lake is a 10 minute walk. There is a stream flowing very close but we carried our water with us. High bear activity, at least when we visited (as informed by the NPS rangers) - Bear spray a must. 4E4 had arrangement to hang food and other strong smell items that might attract bears. Remember to get bug spray - we had a lot of mosquitoes (rainy when we visited) but once the fire is lighted they are all gone! :)
