Caseville County Park Introduce

🌲 Introduction / Overview

For Michigan residents, the "Thumb" region holds a special place, and at its heart is the popular coastal community of Caseville. Located right on the beautiful shores of Saginaw Bay in Lake Huron, Caseville County Park is not just a destination—it’s a true Michigan experience. Operating as an active Huron County Park and campground, it successfully merges the convenience of a developed RV park with the natural beauty of a stunning Great Lakes beach.

This well-maintained park and its campground are renowned for offering a fun, vibrant atmosphere, especially during the summer months and local events like the famous Cheeseburger in Caseville Festival. The park spans approximately 40 acres and is a popular spot for both day-use beach-goers and overnight campers, featuring a mix of modern amenities and picturesque scenery.

Visitors consistently praise the park's staff and the cleanliness of the facilities, noting that the campground is an ideal choice for those who want more amenities and a lively, small-town atmosphere. While the environment is lively, the expansive stretch of sand and the clean Lake Huron waters provide the perfect backdrop for traditional Michigan summer relaxation, swimming, and beautiful sunsets.

📍 Location and Accessibility

Caseville County Park is perfectly situated on the northern tip of Michigan’s Thumb, offering prime waterfront access. Its official address is: 6400 Main St, Caseville, MI 48725, USA. The park is strategically located on the outskirts of the charming city of Caseville, making it a highly accessible and convenient choice for local users.

The park is a short distance north of the intersection of Port Austin Road (M-25) and Oak Street in downtown Caseville. A major highlight of this location is the walkable proximity to city attractions. Campers and visitors can easily reach downtown shops, restaurants, and the Caseville Pier on foot or by bike, thanks to sidewalks that run through the city. This blend of natural beach recreation and convenient access to local commerce sets Caseville County Park apart from many other Michigan campgrounds that are often more remote.

The campground operates seasonally, typically from April 15 through October 31, allowing Michigan campers to enjoy the best of the late spring, summer, and early fall seasons.

  • Proximity to Downtown: Its location provides easy walking access to the charming downtown area of Caseville, offering visitors nearby dining, shopping, and the Caseville Pier for fishing and scenic views.

The distance from the lot to the beach front is horrendous but other than that this place is beautiful and well maintained. We always love our beach days here. They allow dogs in a designated area. There is a large bathroom and 2 large pavilions. The sand gets super hot make sure you have shoes to walk to the beachfront. The water is always nice and clean. There is a restaurant on the beach as well. It is not always open and not sure of the name.

Very busy on holidays can be hard to find parking. Water temp is crisp but not freezing. Bring water shoes because there's rocks on the lake floor. Restrooms are nice. Bring your own grill. No playground

Beautiful beach with ability to easily walk far out. Don't sit on the wet sand, it's smelly!

The softest white sand enormous beach, with kayak rental, the park is free to everyone. You can walk out a ÂĽ mile and the water is only at your knees or your waist. Perfect if you have small children.

WOW - we were pleasantly surprised with the campground and beach access. We had a full hook-up site with a view of the lake. The sites near the lake are a little tight, but well worth the sunsets and access to the beach. The beach/sand is super clean and this part of Lake Huron is shallow for quite some distance. We had a great time and really enjoyed Caseville and the surrounding cities.
