Absolutely amazing!!! We stayed at site #1 and I feel like it's the best one forsure! Amazing views, and a path to the creek! Was able to hike to Cataract lower lake and again amazing! One of my favorite campgrounds forsure.
Great little 5 Spot Campground that cannot be reserved online. It is $18 a night and apparently can be reserved for two weeks consecutively if chosen. Just fill out the form, choose the vacant spot you like, place your Cash inside the envelope and seal it and remove the receipt and place it on your sites' "Reservation Pole" and a Park Official will confirm the reservations once a day. Very fun spot and has a very nice hiking trail less than half a mile down the road (Cataract Creek Trail). Enjoy your Camping Trip!
Great little hidden gem in the Silverthorne area. The camp grounds are a little closer to each other than I would like, but overall great place to get away from the city lights and enjoy the stars 🌟 🤩 ✨️ 🌙 🌌 Lots of wildlife and hidden natural runoff surrounding the campsites 🏕 . You have a few body's of water to explore if you are an avid angler; Surprise Lake, Cataract Lake, and Green Mountain Reservoir. Also not too far from Dillon Reservoir.
Beautiful Cataract Creek Valley. An awesome place we have been to often. If you haven't been here, head up past the campgrounds to Lower Cataract Lake. Multiple trailheads. A 2 mile hike around the lake, with a WATERFALL well worth seeing. Seasonal though. I am fortunate enough to be the caretaker for the big ranch in Cataract creek valley and it is beautiful all around.
Great place to camp if you are lucky enough to get one of the five sites. Unnecessarily expensive. It was just shy of $100 bucks for 3 nights with an extra vehicle, and they come around 2 times a day to get their money, so you will be paying. Tent camping only. Does have a toilet.
