Recent positive feedback regarding the cleanliness of the area suggests a collective effort, either by diligent visitors or dedicated individuals, to maintain the site's appeal. The precise address for Cattle Crossing is Eagletown, OK 74734, USA. This location places it within convenient driving distance for many across southeastern Oklahoma and even parts of neighboring states.
Eagletown itself is an unincorporated community with historical significance, located on the Mountain Fork River. It's approximately 6 miles west of the Oklahoma-Arkansas border and roughly 9 miles east of Broken Bow, a popular tourist hub. This strategic positioning means visitors to Cattle Crossing can easily access other recreational areas and amenities in the wider Broken Bow and Hochatown region, including Beavers Bend State Park and Broken Bow Lake, which are renowned for their hiking, boating, and fishing opportunities.
Accessibility to Cattle Crossing is generally straightforward, primarily via U.S. Route 70, which passes through Eagletown. The presence of the Mountain Fork River at the western edge of the Eagletown CDP indicates that Cattle Crossing leverages this natural landmark for its recreational offerings. Visitors should be aware that while the area is easily reachable by road, the natural setting means certain paths or river access points may be unpaved or require careful navigation. Always check local conditions, especially related to river levels, before planning your trip.

Customer Reviews
River was a bit high and swift, but it's the river and it was a beautiful day out.
We love going here to swim. It's a public place which means, unfortunately, humans leave their mark with trash everywhere. Update: looks like people are either being good humans and cleaning up after themselves or someone is doing the cleaning. Today's visit was nice.
Going to feature this spot on list for top 20 swimming holes in and around southwest Oklahoma. Maybe number 18 but only because of the dope heads that frequent the area.
Great place for the family to enjoy boating, swimming & fishing together. Nice & clean place to hang out on a hot summers day !
Nice view... Water was refreshing.. kids loved it. A lot of boat traffic.
