This was another vintage style, non-commercialized cave tour. Our guide Natalie did a great job telling the history of the cave. There are quite a few steps down (which means also up) but they are well constructed and well lit. The caverns were beautiful . The temperature was cool but comfortable. There were very few slippery places. The acoustics are amazing and we would live to come back for one of the concerts they hold here. It’s part of the Texas Cave Trail challenge- If you visit all 5 and get their passport stamped you get a free T-shirt at the end.

Ok there are quite a few steps (126!) but it's doable. Be prepared to taste a bit of blood if you are not the most physically fit. The cave itself is a bit small and underwhelming, but the history is rich if you're into that. Our tour guide Natalie was very friendly and did a fantastic job 👏

The cave itself is beautiful and has a neat history to it. The tour is around 1 hour. IMPORTANT - You'll have to be able to go down the equivalent of 6 to 8 flights of stairs that are often steep and in narrow passage ways, at times with low ceilings. The walk back up the stairs at the end of the tour is a real B... lol. The gift shop is fun with a good variety of things to purchase in the theme of caves, geodes, crystals, etc. Not much apparel/t-shirts to purchase. I only gave this tour 3 stars because of the tour guide. Michael was rude and very off-putting. It's unfortunate because it was clear he knew his stuff about the cave and the science within it, its history, and the locale. However, prior to the tour, we arrived early, so we were browsing the gift shop. He recommended we use the bathroom before the tour since we'd be down there an hour. I acknowledged him, thanked him, and went about our business. A short time later, he interrupted us and spoke to both myself and my children. He made a comment saying he didn't understand why we weren't using the bathroom and shopping instead. At that point, I made my kids run to the bathroom just to placate him, despite having used the restroom prior to coming. Once the tour began, he explained the rules regarding not touching anything in the cave. My son, who is 6, asked about it to me, and I quietly repeated it to him. Michael decided to dress me down in front of the group because I was talking. Another small child made a little noise, and he began berating the child in front of the group. It was incredibly awkward and completely unnecessary. If it weren't for that experience, I would have given this 5 stars. I do recommend checking it out. It's worth seeing, I just hope you get a different tour guide.

First time going to this cave. It was really cool and the temperature was so nice. The tour was different, it felt more natural, not like a script. The only sad part was, we didn't get to do the entire tour according to our guide. I enjoyed my time regardless and would definitely go back.

Very interesting and informative tour. The cave is huge with a lot beautiful rock and mineral formations. Mike was a great tour guide. Be prepared though, it's a long climb back out, but take your time and you'll make it.
