Lovely free campsite. Clean pit toilet, tables, fire pits. Dirt road up is a little bumpy, a car may or may not make it. No problem in a high clearance or 4wd. We were the only ones up here for the night so really quite and secluded. Great sunset and sunrise views. Trail down to the river is about 1hr each way, can get hot in the afternoon so take plenty of water. Look out for the petroglyphs at the first rock outcrop.

Great remote campground! Only a few miles off highway 522. Just about any car can make it. We had a 24' trailer and it was tight. Beautiful views of the canyon and river with plenty of hiking trails. Definitely reccomend camping here.

After rave reviews by others, Cebolla Mesa was on my hit list. I was not disappointed. I was able to get the best campsite at the far left of the trailhead, right at the edge of the cliff. Not only does that site have the best views, it's also the largest. As others have stated the campground doesn't accommodate large RVs. I saw two different Casita trailers during the week and they are perfect for this campground. Overall, it doesn't appear that this campground gets a lot of campers. There were day hikers and fishermen every day but not many campers. The toilet was in need of maintenance and the road in is slow and rough when towing a trailer. The views, the hike to the river and the quietness make this an amazing camping experience. ( Note, AT&T coverage was in and out.
