Cedar Breaks Park Introduce
Local outdoor enthusiasts looking for campgrounds and RV parks near Georgetown, Texas, should consider Cedar Breaks Park, located at M7C7+MR, 2100 Cedar Breaks Rd, Georgetown, TX 78633, USA. Situated at Lake Georgetown, this park offers a variety of natural features and amenities for a pleasant outdoor experience.
Environment: Cedar Breaks Park features a landscape with some hilly and rocky areas. Many campsites, such as #15, offer direct access to Lake Georgetown and provide scenic lake views. The presence of trees allows for setting up hammocks to enjoy the surroundings. The lake is described as clean and nice, with beautiful sunrises and moon reflections visible. However, it's important to note that the lake is quite deep, so caution and close supervision are necessary for young children swimming.
Services and Features: The park offers campsites, each equipped with a fire pit and grill. Due to potential fire restrictions, visitors should be prepared to primarily use the grill. The restrooms are reported to be clean and include showers, which is a valuable amenity for campers. The park appears to be popular, with every site occupied during at least one visitor's stay, indicating a lively atmosphere with children playing. The park also provides opportunities for hiking around Lake Georgetown with fairly easy trails and beautiful lake views.
Important Considerations: While many visitors have positive experiences, one review mentions an incident involving racist slurs directed at a group whose dog was briefly off-leash. This incident was reported as potentially being common in the area, so visitors should be aware of this possibility. Additionally, it is emphasized that dogs must be kept on a leash at all times, both for the comfort of other visitors and to avoid potential negative interactions. Despite this concerning report, the park is generally loved for its beauty and amenities. For reservations and the most up-to-date information on park rules and regulations, including leash requirements and fire restrictions, please contact Cedar Breaks Park at (512) 930-5253 or +1 512-930-5253.

Little mountain and rocky area. We arrived at 2pm and it was no traffic for checking in but there was a traffic while coming to the park and it was not good. We stayed at #15 campsite and it was really nice. We could go down to the lake and swim and we could see the lake from where we are. There are trees that you can put your hammock and enjoy the view. Lake is clean and nice but it is very deep for little kids so make sure you are always with them. Their fire pit and grill was nice but we only used grill because of no fire restrictions. Restrooms are clean, not too bad and they have showers which is nice to have. Every site was occupied and it was very nice to see kids are playing and enjoying their day. I love this place. Definitely going back. Beautiful sunrise and moon reflection on the lake.
Lovely day out here hiking around the lake. Beautiful views of lake Georgetown and fairly easy hikes. Be sure to have your dogs on the leash because not everyone is dog friendly and accidentally our friends’ dog was not on the leash and a lady started racist slurs against us ( which seems to be common around the area).
The park is pretty nice with large sites. I give it one star because the bathrooms are deplorable. The men's urinals are caked with dried urine, and the showers barely work and have the annoying timer push buttons to turn them on. The bathroom sinks are too small to use, and the water fountains are shut off. The outdoor sinks are large but are never cleaned and can collect bugs, spiders, and scorpions. The sites have water and electricity but NO sewer. If you are planning to use the bathrooms, be prepared. The Corps of Engineers should be ashamed of these bathrooms. There are a lot of volunteer workers camping here. It's hard to see the volunteers doing anything at all, and their area is pretty much a shanty town. The Corps of Engineers obviously doesn't give a rip about the facilities here.
Good place to camp. Decided to try the rv park by the lake. Water and electricity is available but, no sewer at each campsite. Dump station on the way out. Trees are trimmed somewhat for big rigs like mine but still got some scrapes. Sites fairly level. We stayed 4 nights. Restrooms clean and showers are available but water pressure was not that great in shower. Park very quiet at night. Good place to stop for a few nights.
Beautiful park. We had site 25 with a 42’ 5th wheel. It’s a right hand back in. Plenty of room for a full profile rig. The lake views are great. We will be back for sure.
