I the woods, quiet. Went in the off season so it was super quiet. Clean and kept.
This was our first time here and we loved it! We had a bit of an issue with our electric box and our host was very nice and called maintenance! He continued to check on us throughout our stay as well. Unfortunately maintained never came out, but I'm sure they will fix it for the next people. We loved the views and the whole campground!
Another amazing USACE campground. shoulder season is 15 March thru 15 April and 1 October thru 30 November; during the shoulder season all campsites including those with electric are only $10. $5.00 for those with the America the beautiful pass. camping is free December 1 - March 15 but no electric is available during those months. Check the USACE STOCKTON LAKE website for regular rates and more info. This is an awesome campground !
We stayed in an electric RV site on loop B (B8). There was a short trail down the hill to the water. There was even a little sandy beach area just down in front of the other sites. This was a popular place to swim, kayak, and boat. There a boat ramp just beside the campground and a beach and fishing dock a short drive away. The hosts were kind and helpful. There is a shower house not far from the sites as well as a vaulted toilet the opposite direction, towards the boat ramp. The playground is directly across the road from loop B.
Really nice place ! They have a beautiful lake with clean water. You can see the bottom ! Fishing is good too. We stayed for 4 nights. We seen an armadillo at our campsite. How freakin cool is that plus we rented a pontoon only $300 for 8 hour rental camping is $22 a night. They do have one bathroom with running water and hot showers and one yucky pit toilet lol they have water spouts around the campground and a playground. Lots of rocks and cliffs for jumping in the water.
