Customer Reviews
Wood County just took management of Cera Park this year (2025). The park was started in 1972 and was owned and cared for by employees of Consolidated Paper Company. The sites are level and reasonably spaced apart. Electric is available on many sites. We stayed Memorial Day weekend and found it quiet and having a nice view along the Wisconsin River. The campground shows its age and lack of maintenance, things are changing. Now that the park is under care from the Wood County Parks System, it will only be a matter of time before it is up to standards of its other campgrounds. Some may be disappointed that the pool will not be remodeled, but due to age and cost of maintenance, this seems like a reasonable position. My advice? By all means take advantage of the Wood County Parks reservation system and stay at this campground with its great location, but be patient as maintenance is being done.
Very full on July 4th weekend. Campsites pretty nice, shaded. Toilets in the campground area overflowing. A tiny beach, wish the pool was open.
Our 1st time Here, we didn't know what to expect, considering the reviews were all over the place. My family only came to camp for one night, but in one night you can learn a lot about a place. Our site was close to the water, and we had plenty of room. Our neighbors were all very nice. There was a very clean porta-potty close by. There were also bathrooms up by the pool if you would rather use those. One pool out of 3 was open, which wasn't a big deal for us. The wristband was only $1 per person. The park area close to the shelter was decent. My grandson didn't mind playing there (probably could use the grass to be cut). The only thing I didn't really enjoy was the amount of animal poop everywhere, either raccoons or geese, but it wouldn't keep me from coming back. Overall, our one day and night was relaxing and worked for what we needed.
What a wonderful Park. It was my first time staying there. It was really quiet. The park ranger (Jade) was super nice and inviting. This will definitely be one of our go to campgrounds in the future. 10 or if 10 recommend. Hopefully they will get some donors to fix up the swimming pools. Only minor inconvenience is that there currently isn't a beach area. Shower/bathrooms were just remodeled and were very nice.
We'd definitely go back to this place. We took our son there as a fifth birthday gift, and his first camping trip. The land is beautiful, the people were amazing. I cannot thank the people that were across from us (we were in lot 59) possibly the owners or managers?? Saturday morning they brought over a mini cake for my son and later that night, my husband cut his finger really bad. They provided us with something to apply pressure and even offered to drive us to the hospital. When we got rained out Sunday morning, they offered help and even offered to drive an hour home with us to help us with our gear. Definitely an adventure, and it's safe to say with a community like that, we are campers there for life!
