Breathtaking lake to camp at. Plenty of dispersed sites. Left the food cooler out (at your own risk! Not advised for safety reasons) and no animals tore into it. We slept in the back of a vehicle, so we felt safer. Beautiful drive up HWY 14 this time of year.

Lousy maintenance of campsites, bathrooms, roadways and garbage bins. Water is being drawn down dramatically, so no boat launches, AND few trout survived, although some 14 inchers were caught in the middle of the lake by using a float tube launched from the North end of the peninsula where only tent camps are permitted. Refer to images and 1 minute 360 degree video. West side of Chambers Lake is burned by the Cameron peak fire of Fall 2020. Day use area has a kids playground setup, amphitheater with large board to view screenings, boat ramp, restrooms, great shading, more... Barnes Meadow Reservoir just South of Chambers lake is beautiful, full, and well stocked with 9-12 inch rainbows plus cutbows. Easy access from the highway, just don't block the gates.

Great fishing hole, the fire really made a mark, but the forest will return soon.
