Always a beautiful place to camp and walk. Bring a jacket, could be chilly/windy. Bathrooms available and plenty of parking. Nice for an RV getaway too... We were finally able to get space 23 😍 WhooHoo!
We stayed in camp spot #8. We were really happy with our stay. The spot had a nice view of the lake. The walking trails are excellent and the lake had a lot to offer an outdoor enthusiast. The only bummer is no wood fires but we saw other campers with propane flame fires, we will definitely bring one next time we come. The hook up posts were in funny positions so bring extra cord and hose to be safe. We went mid July and the weather was great but fishing was not.
They have cabins you can rent online. You can go fishing or play in the playground. There's restrooms, parkings and trails.
Very peaceful place to stay and fish. Very cold at night during this time of the year. Check in was a little slow but otherwise the lady was very nice. They have water amd electricity, only 30amps, no sewer. Bathrooms are very clean and well stocked.
Beautiful place to park and take a hike over to the island. Beautiful camping spots right off the lake and if for some reason tent camping isn't your thing they have cute cabins to rent or RV spots. Love Cuyamaca Mountains! If you are visiting please pack out what you pack in don't be one of them. Keep our Mountains BEAUTIFUL!
