Highly recommend the place. Host was friendly and the bathrooms were very clean. Also has a dumpster on site so you don't take your trash home. Great place.
Loved this place. We will definitely will be back!
Great experience. Bathrooms are clean. Big sites. The only problem was there were no water spigots (that I saw anyway) and the fire pits didn't have grates for you to cook over
I hate to share this campground with others because I want it to be all mine ;). Anyway, this is a quiet and peaceful campground. I had a puppy and toddler here and the river was gentle enough to build a small "pool" out of rocks to keep kids and dogs from washing down the river. I want to live here....forever. Does that tell you how great it is? Please do NOT come here...so it can stay mine. Thanks ;)
We went up to Chaparral on Tuesday June 30th. All site were taken, but many were taken with just equipment, not people. The guy in campsite 4 was still there from 3.5 weeks ago, when we stayed. We went to Abbott and paid for spots 4, 5 and 6. The camp host was way out of line telling us we could'nt do that considering half the site in Chaparral were obviously being held without people occupancy. Part of our group showed up later the evening of the 30th. The rest of our group showed up the next morning. He was rude and made us (all women) feel unsafe. Also, the bathroom hadn't been clean since June 24th and he never did clean them. They were disgusting. they were out of TP Friday till we left Monday morning.
