We have gone to Bass Creek Campground for decades. The end of the campground has places to tie up horses. There’s a maintained hiking trail that goes along Bass Creek. There’s a day group area across the road with an exercise course and picnic area. The only strange thing about this campground is the name change to Charles Waters. ??? This is Bass Creek Campground. Why try to make it about one person? The campground sites all have parking spaces, picnic tables, and decent spots to put a tent. Several of the campsites are perfect for pulling in with a tow behind, setting up blocks to stabilize your camper and unhook your truck, then keep driving out. Those campsites have drive-thru parking instead of pull-in parking. There are numerous water spigots throughout the campground. The campground has oneway driving, goes in a loop, and is bike friendly. A great campground for bringing bikes along.

Great campsite and campground, we stopped here when our last site didn't work out and glad we did, plenty of room for our 42' trailer and gorgeous hikes and views. All are first-come spots and there were plenty open all the time (We stayed early July) Most of the pull thrus were taken by small cars and campers which would have fit fine in a back in but we found a nice pull thru that worked. We used our generator a few hours each day to charge some electronics and cool the trailer. Otherwise quite, pet friendly and the spots are far enough apart. Great campground for $10

Very nice campground - paved the whole way! Quiet location that feels removed from everything. However, a grocery store and other stores are within a very short drive.

Not a positive experience. The neighbouring campground allows their dogs to run loose. Supposed to be on a leash. The deputy sheriff said they can be off leash. Signs say on leash. There is a hyprocritical system here. If you dont want dogs or other dogs running into your campsite then dont stay here. Other factor is they say the water is potable but the host tells you not to drink it; this is another double standard by the govt of Montana and National Forest. I will leave Montana soon- this place is only for the crooked.
