When you're out riding the newly opened section of the Adirondack Rail Trail from Saranac Lake Village to Floodwood Outpost, plan to stop at Charlie's Inn for lunch on the return trip. Charlie's is a favorite stop for winter guests arriving by snowmobile, but will soon be recognized as the best place for lunch along the middle section of the ADK RT. They offer a wide range of beverages, including a full bar, and a menu that includes appetizers, soups, salads, sandwiches, burgers and dinner entrees. Charlie's offers great service, with fun atmosphere and quality food and drink. Bonus: the six miles back to Saranac are mostly downhill!

This is an iconic home grown establishment on the rail trail in the Adirondack region. It is the perfect spot to catch a breather and grab a bite if you're biking or running the rail trail. Food is good, service is with a smile and you feel at home the moment you walk in...
