Amicalola Falls is a great place for hiking, and the waterfall is beautiful. We hike up the mountain for beautiful, open views where you can see the Atlanta skyline, and we take the stairs down.
I live in the Chattahoochee Forest area in Georgia. The forest, mountains, sweeping views of the Smoky Mountains, lakes and rivers, stars, wildlife (no predatory) is all apart of the mystical gold this place has on people. Spring, summer, fall is for water activities and hiking, and winter is for the views of the mountains!
A nice hike to a waterfall at the halfway point. I recommend this trail. There is a decent elevation change to get the heart pumping.
I love driving through there especially during the fall when the leaves start changing
I had a great time in the outdoors at an invite from Family. The fresh cool air, the smell of nature and the quiet void of no other Humans near by. It felt even CIVILIZED!. This was very near to the Beautiful town of Blue Ridge in Georgia. Indulged in the hope of meeting Big Foot. Elevation was 1,860 feet on a mountain top.
