The campground is a primitive camper's vacation spot. It is amazing. I advise you to book for a week. You can not appreciate the beauty over a weekend. It's a fairy's garden! We are definitely going back. Also, Mat and Lisa are awesome. Their response time for any situation was right on. We've already picked out our next site! We just spent a very laid back weekend at the Chattooga River Lodge and Campground and had the best time! We booked a campsite and brought our kids with us and all of us had a wonderful time. The campground is very peaceful, right in the middle of nature and next to the creek. Willie's Tavern is a must go if you want to meet the lovely owners and listen to some live music with good beers! Things to do: Explore one of the close-by waterfalls or the distillery that is only a few minutes away by car.
Chattooga River Lodge and Campground has become our new go-to place for our multifamily and friends camping trips. SUCH a beautiful location with everything we need. Unwinding and making memories with our adult children here is the BEST! We could just hang at the campsite the whole time, but we also enjoy Willie’s Tavern and there’s always something going on in the area to check out. We also love hiking and there are so many trails! We also appreciate the reasonably-priced firewood! Many other campgrounds scalp you on that one, but not here!
We had a fantastic camping stay on site 2! It was so peaceful & so serene. Being right next to river with mini waterfall was amazing. We didn’t even need to use our sound machine for our toddler. The covering was also a nice addition. We definitely plan on coming back.
We tent camped for a couple of nights at their camp ground. We found the people who worked there to be great. The camp host was nice and helpful. They were/are dog friendly which was a huge plus to us. We will probably come back and camp here again in the future.
