This is a great campground and has wonderful cottages from one bedroom to five bedrooms. We rented a two bedroom cottage on the lake for just my wife and me because the one bedroom was already taken. It was terrific! Very comfortable with heat and air conditioning. The kitchen was fully equipped and we had a washer and dryer and screened in patio facing the lake. As with any rental there were minor issues (fireplace didn’t work, screens were torn in several spots) but it did not detract from our enjoyment of the place. Having been stationed in the Norfolk area for several years, I can tell you this is one of the best kept secrets for current and former military in the area. Highly recommend this as a weekend getaway or longer stay if you have the opportunity.
