Cherokee Lakes Campground

Marie made sure that our stay was delightful. She was great, friendly, and joyful. She truly went above and beyond. The campsite was clean, and had adequate shade. The restroom and shower were clean. Check-in was easy. We came, we parked, we slept.

We stay for 1 night Mike and his wife??? Really nice people and they want make sure you feel welcome, nice place, She was really friendly and help us a lot with all our needs, was raining and we did not have a chance to walk by the lake. We recommend this campground and is not priced at all, really busy place

We stayed one night for $40 to recharge on our coast to coast challenge. I guess they could be considered close but in spot 7 we were next to an open area that had swings and then the pool about 100' away. We had no problem backing our 30' travel taller and F250 into the spot with room to spare. We even stayed hooked for the night. Everyone one we met was super friendly and the lake was beautiful with birds, fish and even saw a small turtle. It was fairly quiet even with a busier road near by. We really loved the stay and wish we could have stayed for their Labor Day shindig. Stop in to this nice park and tell Mike that David and Becky from Pearl Church say hi!

These folks are the kindest and most compassionate folks I have come across in a long time. We are full time RVers, and were headed to a Harvest Host destination past this area when our truck went into limp mode. I googled a campground close to where we were on the highway and got these folks. They were full but made a spot for us and allowed us to come right in, knowing we didn’t know how long we would end up needing to stay. Their compassion for our situation was heartwarming. The lady in the office told us if we needed to get to a store that someone could bring us. This is a nice 68 site campground with a tenting area and some fishing ponds. Sites and campground are clean and well maintained. They have clean shower facilities, laundry and a pretty nice fitness room. It is a very peaceful area. With all our travels, we tend to get used to corporate campgrounds etc and when you come across a nicely run family park that has the kindness these folks have it reminds me why we chose this life…to travel and meet folks like these. So thank you again for being the light to some stressed out weary travelers!!

This campground is convenient to the interstate and quiet. The setting is nice around a pond. The staff was great! They prefer cash or checks. The restrooms were spotless. We had a gravel pull -thru site well full hook-up. We had dinner at Ethyl's BBQ, it was delicious.
