The lake itself is beautiful and the area is amazing. Campsite has nice pads and very clean and organized. But loses stars because of how close every campsite is to each other. Absolutely no privacy. You can watch your neighbours make dinner, and hear each others conversations the whole time.

My family and I visited for the first time this past Summer. We had a great time. The water was nice, the campground was well kept and the fellow campers were respectful of noise restrictions. We loved how the Chipmunks and squirrels weren't bothered by our presence and the Canada Jays that reside there were so friendly. They were landing on our hands. This has to be our new favorite place to be. But what was really amazing were the stars in the sky at night. Most still weren't visible with the naked eye. But still way more than you would see in the city. And if you have a good camera you could take great night shots like I did.

We really enjoyed our stay at Paleface Loop. The campsites are pretty close together and there's not much privacy, but we didn't mind. There are garbage cans, recycling and water nearby. The toilets are pit toilets (no showers or sinks). The more frequently used ones could use some TLC, but overall the site was well maintained. Staff are very friendly. The lake is absolutely stunning. I mean, STUNNING. There is a dog beach where you can let your pooch off leash. Lots of hiking nearby. No cell reception so it's a great place to disconnect.

Always a beautiful experience camping here. We love the lake, and there’s no shortage of trails for those who like to walk or hike.
