Had a wonderful time here. Biking nearby is excellent. You can go all the way to Stanley, 14+ miles round-trip. Kayaking and SUP on Little Redfish Lake is super chill. And Redfish Lake is just a mile or so up the road! Dog friendly! Restrooms with flush toilets and sinks!
There is not one thing to dislike about this place. Great lake great views and nice camping spots. I enjoyed my 5 nights here and plan to come back to the area soon. The hiking in the area is awesome and some good fishing alo
No reservations, no hook ups, few group sites. Flush toilets, water, fire ring, picnic tables. Inexpensive. Get there early any day to find sights opening up, especially Sun - Wed. Little Redfish Lake for nonmotorized boating, kayak, SUP. Best view of Mt Heyburn, coyotes early am singing across the river, bird watching Osprey, Herons, woodpeckers. Fishing. Easy bike ride to chaos of Big Redfish Lake resort for music Wed & Fri, restaurant, etc. Close to Stanley, hiking miles then into wilderness. WILDFLOWERS awesome this year. Misquitoes when warmer days.
Perfect spot for some dry camping. Be aware though, Mosquitoes everywhere.
Great campground in a beautiful place! A first come sites, on the bank of little redfish lake.
