Today is my last day here after a 5 week stay. It has been a wonderful time! I had absolutely no negative experiences during my stay. The management and staff have been friendly, informative and accommodating. The restrooms were cleaned daily and nice hot showers. Campfire every night made for a great opportunity to meet and make new friends. A great sense of community here. So much better than many of the other parks I've stayed at. I've already made my reservation for next summer. I hope to be able to come back every year. Thank you Chinook for a great experience.
Leaving a review after spending a last minute summer, from June-Oct. We found this great location and decided to change our entire summer plans to stay here. Great staff, great neighbors, great location to all outdoor activities. Casinos nearby with cheap gas! Nightly fire on the river provided by resort made for fun times and lots of new friends. We have already reserved our spot for next summer and hope to make this our summer location for years to come!
This is a great park on a great location. We spent a whole week there and we had no issues whatsoever. Management was friendly and accommodating. We chose the location because it’s on the shores of the Klamath river and it’s in the middle of the Redwoods National and state parks. All the major park trails and attractions are no more than 20-25 min away. We really really enjoyed our time. Everyone was friendly and quiet hours were respected. Full hookups worked as advertised. Bathroom was clean and they keep it that way. No problems there at all.
Be careful, they don’t allow EV charging despite that there’s no written rule for that. Water was not super clean, so be careful to drink it without boiling or filtering. Toilets and showers are OK for such place.
I love the location and the staff was friendly. What I didn't know was that the boat ramp is dissembled, the wifi was bad, and the place was under construction for drainage ditches. I didn't see anything about this when I made my reservation online and I was told nonchalantly that we might lose power or water. And if you want an evening party in front of your premium priced river view every night, get the spot with the fire ring patio deck front and center.
